So you’ve found some of your favourite comedians and now you would like to find out more about how you can book them, right?  Well you’ve found the right place! Hiring a comedian at the Comedy Agency is a very simple process. Below are answers to a selection of the most frequently asked questions by our clients, which will assist through the the process of booking a comedian and also what to expect with regards to their technical or travel requirements, fees, payment terms and more.

Fees on high quality professional comedians can range from approximately $1500-$15,000 + GST with high profile or “celebrity” comedians generally starting at around $5000 + GST.  The Comedy Agency has comedians Australia Wide to suit your budget.  

For event bookings, most comedians will perform a 20-30 minute spot. 

Yes you can, comedians make excellent M.C’s. Most but not all the comedians at The Comedy Agency can be hired as a Master of Ceremonies, host or facilitator. Ask one of our booking agents for a list of suggestions for your event or check out our MC’s page here

Unfortunately most high profile comedians do not accept wedding bookings but please check with one of our booking agents and they will advise of what options are available. We do have a great selection of less profile comedians and comedy acts that do accept wedding bookings.

Yes, all comedians require a raised stage so that they can be easily seen by the audience and so the comedian can maintain the audiences attention at all times. For small events, we recommend a minimum stage size of 3m x 2m x 600mm and at least 5m x 4m for larger events of 300+ guests. There should also be no more than a couple of metres from the stage to the first row of tables.  For more info on the best staging and room layout options to ensure the best comedy performance, speak to one of our booking agents now.

Yes, either the venue or the client will need to supply a professional P.A. System with operator plus a wireless microphone and stand with back up microphone plus 2 x fold back wedges. They also require white stage wash lighting or spotlights. For more info please contact one of our booking agents.

To confirm a booking a 50% deposit is required
The balance is then due 10 days prior to the event.
